COMING THIS SEPTEMBER ON FADING WAYS RECORDS/FW ARTIST COLLECTIVE:

"7 years in the making, we extremely proud to present our 5th album. A blinding production by Jon Caffery (Joy Division / Einstürtzende Neubauten) recorded on a fat 2 inch analog machine in the Wong Studios, after lots of sweaty days and nights in the jam room. We appreciate your love and support, we have been getting your mails, we made this, fat and blinding collection of our new best ever creations, for you the Jud fans." - From JudTV.com.

Every music fan knows them: the records few are aware of, those small treasures found in their collections that are carried in our hearts as true musical gems, of immeasurable value. Jud have made a few of those in the past, over their 1996-2001 career, but this - this is pure rock righteousness. For one thing, although the band members have played in the Americana/Country outfit The Fullbliss over the last few years (more on them later) and ringleader David Judson Clemmons has toured solo as well as also playing in Amen and Mondo Generator, Jud remained unforgotten to their fans and this new album, a true Phoenix rising, will not go unheard.

Originally from Virginia (USA), David Judson Clemmons moved to L.A. to join Damn the Machine, forming Jud after its demise in 1994. In 1996 Ross Robinson (Sepultura, Slipknot, Korn) produced tracks for their debut album "Something Better", with additional tracks produced by Matthias Schneeberger (who is responsible, among other things, for the Gutter Twins' Desert Sessions). The pedigree of these two producers provides a good answer as to what kind of music Jud play.

Sufferboy is their best thus far. It is, in the true sense of the word, AWEsome. Awe inspiring. A runaway rock train d'enfer tour de force with hammers and anvils and axes to grind. And they do! Produced by Jon Caffery, (who also did TV Smith's new album), Sufferboy is a record that truly deserves the adage, "If you only buy one record this year, make it this one."
